WHY
STUDY ARABIC LANGUAGE
The center organizes
Arabic classes for interested participants who seeks to
enhance their knowledge in the Arabic language. The Arabic
language is the language of the holy Qur'an and the Hadith.
It is therefore very important for Muslims and non-Muslims
alike to acquaint themselves with this language in order to
be able individuals to close the many long centuries gap and
understand the Qur'anic and Hadith literature just as Arab
contemporaries of the days of the holy prophet (S). It also
imperative for the first step for understanding the Holy
Qur'an and Islam to study the Islamic sciences in all their
aspects with an expert knowledge in Arabic language,
vocabulary and literature.
This is while essential
to expert knowledge of the elements of Arabic words, their
phrasing and their abundant metaphorical, symbolical and
figurative meanings. Arabic grammar and literature must also
be researched to the point of technical expertise so the
person may understand Islamic writings. We know that during
different stages of it's development every language is
modified under the influence of various factors or agents.
One very beautiful well-formed word will become obscene in
the course of time.
A word will loose it's
meaning exactly the opposite of the original. Sometimes the
scope of a word's meaning will be restricted, or it will be
enlarged, etc. It is therefore necessary for one to become
knowledgeable of Arabic language and grammar so that he
obtains a complete grasp of these evolutionary stages, and
the ability to traverse time and place is also bestowed upon
mankind. Thus the first instrument necessary for continuance
towards understanding the Holy Qur'an and Islamic thought is
expert, technical knowledge of Arabic language and
etymology.
