OBJECTIVES
Since the
establishment of the center, it has committed itself towards
the realization of the following objectives:
1. To promote
unity, peace, understanding and oneness among Muslims from
different cultural and ideological background.
2. To foster
cooperation and understanding among different Islamic
schools of thought in order to reduce misunderstandings and
eradicate extremism and conflict within the ummah.
3. To promote and
implement programs and activities discouraging religious
tolerance and extremism.
4. To encourage
dialogue, cultural exchange and understanding of Islam
between different schools of thought.
In pursuit of a
successful realization of the aforementioned objectives, the
center has map out strategies in its document of action plan
in order to able it achieve its objectives. Thus the
following are programs were designed:
1. Organizing
Islamic foras of lectures, conferences and symposia
2. Encouraging
Islamic scholars into research with the aim of creating an
atmosphere of proximity and understanding among Muslims of
different sects and schools of thought.
3. Establishment
of a well-equipped library containing books of diverse
subjects in the light of Sunni and Shi'a viewpoints for the
purpose of study and research in order to reach
understanding and eradicate misconceptions.
4. Round-table
television programs.
5. Radio programs.
